Emotion through design
Exceptional design. An eagle eye to detail. The power of storytelling through interiors.
These are lifelong passions that led our founder, Jaculin, to her true calling – property styling and staging.
After following an unconventional path through law school and commercial banking, the catalyst to Jaculin’s journey into interior styling was inspired by a fortuitous meeting that would change her life forever.
While preparing to sell her family home, Jaculin was referred to a staging team – Silk Homes – who would (and did) help prepare her space for the best possible result in market.
It was Silk Homes’ founder, Naomi, who ignited an inner passion in Jaculin. And it was there that Jaculin fused her focus on customer experience, her intimate level of detail, and her love for design and helping others make a house a home into one and began Peony Property Staging in 2015.
When Naomi, who became Jaculin’s friend and mentor, later approached Jaculin with the opportunity to take over Silk Homes, the brand where this all began, it was the final piece of the puzzle that she needed.
The timing was right, the deal was struck, and Jaculin humbly and gratefully took over Silk Homes to create Peony + Silk: a home staging and interior design studio that specialises in creating fresh, bespoke and thoughtful spaces that feel like home.
Jaculin is a graduate and continuing student of The International Institute of Home Staging (IIHS).
Natalie is our organisational queen. It will be Natalie who you call when you initially contact our office. She keeps everything ship shape and does it with a smile.
Danielle has been a long term employee with Silk and also worked in property styling in Melbourne following studying design at university. She will often attend quotes and is our primary lead stylist. She knows her stuff!
Jodie also was an employee of silk and is our little pocket rocket. A hairdresser by trade she knows what needs to be done and just gets in and does it. She is a valued stying assistant and we love having her around.
Our newest member of staff, Grace is also a qualified interior designer. She has a great eye and has experience in all facets of interior design such as colour consults and furniture sourcing for clients. She is our token vegetarian and makes a mean lentil curry!
